Rush 2010
Rush Beta!
Hello and welcome to Rush! Rush week is a very fun and stress free way of getting to know a lot of people, what they stand for, and a lot of FREE FOOD. Rush this year begins Saturday January 23 and ends on the following Saturday January 30. This week is packed with activities and it is in the best interest for YOU to attend ALL that you can! Below is the Rush Week schedule for 2010:
Saturday, January 23 — House Tours
« Today all of the Greek Houses open their doors for the first time to incoming Freshmen. You will get the opportunity to meet all of the Betas and get lots of free food and information! You definitely don’t want to miss this event!
Sunday, January 24 — Free Day
« Today is your day to explore the houses. Beta will be having an event and will have their doors open all day. We encourage you to come by at any time during the day because the Betas are just as excited about Rush as you are!
Monday, January 25 — Sigma Chi Event @ 7:00 PM
« Come on over to the House all day before the Sigma Chi event! We’ll be grilling at 6 PM so you can get next door for Urban Dodgeball.
Tuesday, January 26 — Phi Delta Theta Event @ 7:00 PM
« Come on over to the House all day before the Phi Delt event! We’ll be grilling at 6 PM so you can get to Go Karting.
Wednesday, January 27 — BETA THETA PI EVENT @ 7:00 PM
« Beta presents Casino Royale! Come play Hold ‘Em, Black Jack, Craps, etc. and get to know all the Betas! If cards aren’t your thing we have two big screen TVs for video games! Food and drinks will be provided so don’t plan on eating before you come!
Thursday, January 28 — NO CONTACT
« Today is the day of no contact when you are allowed a day to think about which Fraternity best fits you!
Friday, January 29 — Preference Dinners
« Tonight you will have dinner with your top two favorite houses. You will go to each dinner for an hour and a half and get one last interaction with the guys before Saturday.
Saturday, January 30 — CROSSOVER!
« In the morning you will receive an envelope containing Bid Cards from whichever house extends to you a Bid (a formal invitation to join). Once you have decided upon a house, you will be lead to Lower Baker field and run to the House that you choose (you’ll see).
In closing, we hope that you choose the Fraternity that best fits you, but we hope that Fraternity is Beta Theta Pi. Go Beta!
