Card Magic

the Ronald McDonald HouseI have been studying magic since the August of 2003. I learned it all from videos ordered from ellusionist.com. Within the first school year, the Ronald McDonald HouseI performed at two dinner parties that my school hosted. Both went well. For my eighth grade project, I went out and performed as a volunteer at a retirement home once and the Ronald McDonald House twice. I just got my first paying job. I'll be performing at Finnigan's toy store on August 14th.

I am available for hire in the Portland, Oregon region. You can e-mail me at: daniel.pi@juno.com to learn more.

Park PlaceWhat kind of magic do I perform? It is generally known as "close-up magic" the Ronald McDonald Houseperformed for small crowds usually no more than ten people. I use mainly cards but I hope to expand to coins soon. My best environment are dinner parties, where I go around from table to table doing magic for a few minutes for each table. I don't have a vast repertoire, but enough to keep me going for 30 minutes or so with one group without repeating tricks.

I learned all my magic from ellusionist.com. the Ronald McDonald HouseIt is extremely difficult to learn from books and videos are an excellent alternative. I bought most of their videos and learned a lot from them. Ellusionist.com is a great site for the Ronald McDonald Housebeginners and intermediate magicians, but not for experts. You need absolutely no experience to learn from ellusionist. I think their best video for beginners is their Street Magic Package (SMP).
the Ronald McDonald HouseIt is always a good idea to learn from as many sources as possible. I recommend Jay Sankeys Revolutionary Coin Magic for intermediate to advanced coin magic.
